The Balance Team needs to stop carrying this "Nerf only" mindset.
I love Hearthstone but I am seriously tired that the team believes the only way a game can be balanced is through nerfs only. I play a lot of online games but this is one of the few where 99% of the balancing is done through nerfs and the only time a buff occurs is during a blue moon.
You want to make the meta fresh by removing staple cards that are always auto included in every deck? Fine, but what about cards that have always been garbage? Savagery, Bestial Wrath, Kidnapper, etc. You can make a fresh meta by making cards that have never seen competitive play somewhat viable. I am not saying to find every garbage card and make it good but at least try to balance the game instead of nerfing it so you can easily sell more powerful expansion cards. I get it, the company wants to make money but at least put some effort into the game. Can you imagine how horrible Overwatch would be if all they did was only nerf older heroes just so they can release more powerful heroes "with more design space"? Even other digital card games have put some effort into balancing their game by nerfing AND buffing cards.
I guess the whole point of my rambling is that they need to stop viewing nerfs/card removals as the only balancing solution. Otherwise, they should just change their balance philosophy to nerf everything philosophy.
