Hearthstone Devs Foreshadowing

Do you remember the KotFT announcement where Ben Brode and Jason Chayes talked about the cards?

In the first few seconds, before they "begin" the announcement, they're having a conversation about how to pronounce "arch"

Brode: Arc-thief or Arch-thief?

Chayes: It's clearly arch because you have Archbishop of Canterbury

This was a reference to the new Priest legendary Archbishop Benedictus which has the same theme as Arch-thief Rafaam- stealing your opponent's deck.

Also, a Bishop would be a Priest card - so we could have (if we were crazy) seen ahead to a priest legendary that steals your opponent's deck.

Bit late to this particular thread, but we do this kind of thing constantly, especially in the silly flavor blogs. Most of the time it isn't noticed, though.

If you got back over them post release, you'll see all kinds of foreshadowing.

Coming up with these kinds of teasers has to be a ton of fun.

Though I feel like it'd be really easy to fall down the rabbit hole of overanalyzing your press releases :)

Yeah, don't read too deeply, but feel free to have fun speculating. We do it for kicks, and we hope those with a sharp eye are having fun with it too.
