This months cardback is beautiful.

I would just like to leave a bit of appreciation for the artists working at Blizzard. As a designer myself, I know how art can be one of the most criticised yet underappreciated aspects of an entire project.

Who did the Fireside card back? That one's always my go-to.

Our art director Ben Thompson did that one and all the other early cardbacks. :)

Charlene le Scanff does a lot of our cardback paintings these days, if you're interested in seeing more of her work (including July's - August's is by Jerry Mascho). Both amazing artists. :)

Thank you! It always gives me a nice cozy feeling. One more question if you don't mind: Who did the Valeera the Hollow art? I think it's probably one of my favorite from the new set.

Yeah I love how warm and fuzzy that one is. :)

Glenn Rane did the card art for Valeera, and Jomaro Kindred did the original concepts for all of the Death Knight Heroes (Jomaro also does quite a few of the cardbacks). And then Laurel Austin did that baller key art of all of them.
