the uno Youtube Video just dropped. it's only at 6k views right now, but it's only been out 6 minutes. this will 100% do 300k minimum by the end of the week. it's just so impressive that they can do numbers with this sort of content https://t.co/xuZcPXyLGV

I finally googled "no cap." it demonstrates how thick my bubble has become that I thought it's twitch slang (like the popularization of "pog") but it's in fact black slang. it started in the US & was popularized near my hometown, but I learned about it from a taiwan-born canadian

(politics) this reminds me of something i haven't seen discussed anywhere - avg streamers seem shorter than traditional celebrities. eg toast (5'7) vs conan (6'4). maybe not totally correlation? i'd like to see a rigorous comparison https://t.co/aDuQCa7bMB https://t.co/gj6rv8KAY9

a funny result of players streaming all their games is the juxtaposition of their p0 & p100 moments vid1: player somehow does not see a dead body https://t.co/QgA7jCzGrl vid2: player (same person, ~best player in the world) demonstrates incredible vision https://t.co/7MIEywcl32

i havent been able to find a graph showing the income of twitch streamers by percentile. i always get strange looks when i assert streamers are an under-analyzed phenomenon. after all, everyone has heard of pokimane, etc. but the absence of this data is an example! i'll fix this!

note that subscription revenue is only part of their total income, which also includes donations, ads, etc. for context, in 2018 subscriptions were 70% of disguisedtoast's income. https://t.co/S6H4CEqKtv

How many Twitch streamers make at least 3k a month off of twitch subscriptions? (Roughly median single US income). Don't vote on this second question, but also ask yourself how many crack 100k a year. Answers at the very bottom of https://t.co/A9mts8c2TT

ludwig did an interesting video reacting to a twitch community map. https://t.co/mWgFZBKph3 Some highlights: MineCraft streamers have the most avg viewers, but they stream for less time so xQc ends up with much higher total hours watched. the top streamer in Korea is a corp 1/2

rarely, ppl get colored w 1 cluster, but are placed far away. which could happen if a streamer has a high overlap with a few streamers in group A, but overall have more overlap with group B. eg 39Dapth's categorized as otv, but placed in livestreamfail cluster. seems fitting 2/2
