I swear to god, these last couple years have aged my body about 20 years. Anyone got any tips for what to do when you sleep on your neck wrong and now it's stiff and can't move more than 15degrees without it hurting? Heating pad is not helping, cracking my neck worsens it...

        Chiropractor?

To those suggesting physiotherapists... I slept wrong and just need a one-time fix. I didn't get in a nasty car accident and need on-going treatment. I know chiropractors are commonly oversold and are not doctors, but they obviously do something quick/temporary, all I need.

@Celestalon This happens to me because i am also old It's terrible and sometimes lasts 2-4 days. Usually getting worse on the first day and better after that.

@Celestalon My advice: take a light painkiller, stay a tiny bit active rather than let it sit in place all day and night, take a few hot showers, and make sure when you sleep you don't end up in whatever position caused you to be like this in the first place

@IksarHS @Celestalon A warm compress can help too.

@redden0t8 @Celestalon Yeah, a hot shower is basically a lazy person's warm compress

@Celestalon Happened to me for the first time a few months ago Left it alone and it went after a few days, but getting up/down from a lying position was a real pain in the neck

@MeatiHS Yeah, no kidding. This is like the third time in the last year that I’ve felt like I needed a neck brace, and it’s all been from fucking *sleeping on it wrong*. No problems at all from the *head banging like my life depends on it* at raves, though, my neck is totally fine w/ that

@Celestalon I will tell you from having issues with my neck and back. Replacing my mattress and pillows are what fixed the issues. I purchased the Purple Matress and a Purple Harmony pillow. Haven’t had issues since.

@AlastorX50 Been thinking of doing this for a while now. This is probably my inspiration for pulling the trigger.
