These results are really interesting from a design perspective. There is a big section of the Hearthstone player base that don't have prior experience with WoW, so we expected that Vanndar and Drek'thar's individual designs would be impactful here. https://t.co/H4RC6te5Ud

We assumed Drek'thar would be a popular pick because he was the more competitive of the two cards. Vanndar was objectively the flashier card though, and that maybe made him the more exciting choice. Either way, WOO GO ALLIANCE!

@Songbird_HS Might have to be with the fact that a majority of player enjoy slow, value-oriented decks more than aggro.

@Kongenz9 Maybe! I don't obviously know the breakdown of players who prefer fast vs. slow gameplay. I picked Vanndar because I like slamming silly big minions.

@Songbird_HS Where you all happy with the outcome of this? Was there anything you'd do differently? I think the promotion was awesome, and I bought right in. Keep up the interesting ideas.

@jcandance I can't speak for the team, but I'm personally very happy with this event and I think it went almost as well as it could have. In part that's because @MyntyPhresh set us up for success with a really solid plan for what we were going to execute.
