I know I said I wouldn't tweet this weekend, but this is important. I agree that more official forms of communication need to happen. The feelings @RegisKillbin and @ZeddyHS have in this thread are valid. I can say that it's something we've talked about (cont) https://t.co/EQlDPviobg

on the community team a lot. Sometimes I see posts that say something like "Alkali should make an official comment". Please remember that I don't have an "official" way to do that as this is my personal acct. I use my personal acct because I have no way to (cont)

communicate on an official account. If I commented on everything on my personal acct I'd actually lose reach and it would defeat the purpose of trying to "reach" you. So, I weigh things out. Dylan and Nicholas do an excellent job with blogs and forums. They are very (Cont)

good at what they do. Is this an issue that needs a better solution to reach more players? YES. How do we get there? I don't have an exact answer yet. Are we working on that? YES. We hear your frustration and we're listening.

@alkali_layke I want to piggyback to say that ideally the forums are one of our communication tools. They weren’t really used for a while and it’s good that we’ve brought that back. The forums are great because they are the fastest way for us to officially communicate—good for emergencies.

@alkali_layke I often see players notice something weird and want an immediate answer for why. Usually, the fastest way to get that information to players is in the forums. And as we use them more, we train players that these are a viable source of info again.

@alkali_layke I've already noticed this "training" working, with some players and new sources more regularly checking the forums. To me, it's better that we buff that up and utilize it than it is to let them languish.

@alkali_layke I've also noticed that players who are already regularly on the forums have greatly appreciated more of an official presence back on there.

@alkali_layke But, just like every form of communication has its strengths, each has its weaknesses, too. Some were pointed out in the original thread, another (at least right now) is the localization issue.

@alkali_layke So when the team's talking about solutions, we're talking about finding a good system that combines all the various tools available to us instead of trying to find a one-size-fits-all solution. That can be improved with more tools, better use of them, combining them, etc.

@hsdecktech @alkali_layke All of this is incredibly great, I’m personally a forum lurker and true enough, it’s been lovely to see blue posts in there again with some frequency. But my take from the conversation between @RegisKillbin @ZeddyHS is more about immediate visibility I believe.

@Gambito_HS @hsdecktech @RegisKillbin @ZeddyHS Yes, they are. News hitting more players is important. Accurate. Quickly. Globally. And that's what I was talking about in my tweets. We'll get there.

@hsdecktech @alkali_layke I appreciate the transparency, but the handling of this dust situation has been horrible. I still don’t really know what happened. Dust was or was not supposed to go out? I had my dust wiped after crafting 1 card, despite the fact that I had plenty of dust previously.

@gCan28 @alkali_layke The forum post explains it all, but basically a small amount of dust was intended for an edge case. Most players were never intended to get any. https://t.co/izfkDunD0b

@hsdecktech @alkali_layke This all sounds good but I feel there should still be info shared in-game, or at least via the Battlenet client. I never look at the forums and I'd wager I'm in the majority on that.

@adamcbassett @alkali_layke Definitely some feedback we’ve heard in all this and something we’ll be discussing in improving things going forward. I think ideally in-game and launcher notifications are just two more of those tools we can easily choose to use when appropriate.
