Just finished Ruined King. It’s a classic RPG that did some really cool things. The combat system was one of my favs ever. The progression wasn’t quite there for me, but I loved the core idea. And their difficulty options were perfect.

@hsdecktech You think? I found myself having to up the difficulty repeatedly, and even at highest it didn't feel challenging, just punishing if you used the wrong strategy and equally easy if you used the right one. I could never engage with the combat because the balance felt so whack.

@hsdecktech Did you use Braum a lot? I found he was kind of the key. Hardest difficulty felt like it was pathetically easy if you just used Braum and permanently taunted/shielded, but really difficult if you didn't.

@Elteras Ah, no, I used the big Priestess lady more. Definitely a lot more I could have explored in the game, but tbh my gaming backlog is so long that I wasn’t trying to milk this game for all it had.
