      Oops, I aggro'd the bots.

        @Celestalon "I am not a bot." 🤖

          @Nymrielle Oh god, so many bot DMs/replies...

        @Celestalon How do you know they are bots? Is it possible to send automatic replies when a certain word is tweeted? It's the first time I've heard (and seen) such a strange phenomenon.

          @Avalon_OOC Yeah, totally possible, happens all the time.

            @Celestalon Must be awful - how is such a thing allowed to exist? It makes the experience on this social worse.

              @Avalon_OOC Well, some bots are good. There are bots to make images more screenreader accessible, bots to transform a tweet thread into single readable page, bots to list what rare items are sold by vendors each day in a game, etc. It's just annoying when bots do things you DON'T want.

                @Celestalon Wouldn’t it be possible to implement an equivalent of the “good bot” command of Reddit?

                  @Avalon_OOC I'm not super familiar with that, but I think we basically rely on the inverse on twitter; reporting the bad bots.

                    @Celestalon I can see why Twitter adopts that kind of system, but it still sucks to see comment sections like yours...

                      @Avalon_OOC Hah, it's not the comments that are the problem. It's the dozen+ of DMs I've gotten.

                        @Celestalon Isn’t there an option to not receive DMs from people you do not follow? I think there is, but at the same time it would irremediably damage a large portion of people: those who may want to communicate with you and are yet to do anything wrong.

                          @Avalon_OOC There is, but I prefer to leave DMs open.
