Elden Ring reminds me a lot of the Fate series, like a darker Fate/Zero. Knights of the roundtable fantasy meets weird anime monster ecology. Hard to follow story, interesting world, ominous atmosphere with wildly powerful enemies. Fate/Zero one of my favorite anime 😎

@IksarHS Also gives me some good Claymore vibes. Man, I really loved that anime/manga despite any storytelling flaws. Have you played Dark Souls 1? Obviously, if you're enjoying Elden Ring, I cannot recommend it enough.

@day9tv I love Claymore. It was the first anime I ever watched to completion so it has a very special place in my heart. You are right there are totally claymore vibes. Also I played nearly every other FROM game and didn't like any of them, despite being in love with the aesthetic.

@day9tv I've thought a lot about the differences (there are many). I think ultimately it comes down to running into a skill wall and having the option to just go do something else rather than slam my face into it over and over.
