Upgrade to Golden gives you the FULL dust value of your Normal card put toward the Golden. Not just a convenience feature. WAY cheaper than disenchanting the Normal and crafting the Golden. https://t.co/gIIXVgT8d5

@Celestalon @Celestalon Does that mean that when gold “legendarys” are nerfed, the returned dust will be 1600?
        • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@LeonarHsz No changes to dusting or nerf refunds. A recently-nerfed Normal Legendary still disenchants for 1600, or a Golden for 3200.

@Celestalon So if I dust a legendary to upgrade to a Golden rare, I'll "get" 1600 dust for the rare, and that will go toward the 3200 dust cost for the golden version? Essentially only costing me 1600 dust for the upgrade?
        • JNytemarePierce

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@kremlincardinal @Celestalon No you don't disenchant the card first you just hit the upgrade button. Old: Want to upgrade a golden legendary. Pay 3.2k dust, disenchant the none golden get back 400 dust. In the end you spent 2.8k dust. New: hit upgrade and turn the none golden into golden. Spend 1.6k only

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@JNytemarePierce @kremlincardinal ^This. Just hit "Upgrade" on a Normal Legendary, it spends 1600 and converts it to a Golden Legendary.

@Celestalon How will this work with uncraftable legendaries (i.e. Faelin)?
        • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@aelios817 The golden still must be craftable for Upgrade to Golden to be used.

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@Celestalon Gotcha, so it will just be 1600 dust to upgrade normal faelin to gold then? That's rad
            • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@aelios817 Sorry, correction: Both Normal and Golden must be craftable in order to Upgrade. Will not work with Faelin, sorry!

@Celestalon And what about the duplicates ? Lets say i have a duplicate legendary. Can i use the duplicate one to upgrade?
        • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
          @alf87_official Yep, sure can.

@Celestalon I meant instead of upgrading with the dust, i’ll use the other duplicate legendary to compensate the upgrade. or i’m asking too much haha 😂

@ben_heathstone @Celestalon what happens if you pick the random cardback as a favorite?

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@mattatarms @ben_heathstone The "Random Cardback" is gone, it's just part of the UI now.

@Mathamagicia @mattatarms @ben_heathstone I didn't record a video of walking backwards into a shrubbery just so you could still use the homer one, Alicia.

@Celestalon @mattatarms @ben_heathstone How many cardbacks can you 'favorite' to which it will randomly pick one of those each game?

@ben_heathstone @Celestalon Only 30? That’s why I liked the Random cardback… I have almost all of them. This is a bummer.

@Celestalon for upgrade to golden, regarding UI... I see in the pic that it has 2 btns, Disenchant, and Upgrade... does that mean that you can upgrade only when you have 2 normal versions of it... what if I just want to upgrade 1 card, and I only have 1 normal version of it already?
      • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@vu_shaman We didn't want to interrupt the most common crafting flow: View a Normal card you don't have, craft 2 copies of it. So when looking at Normals, it stays on just 'Craft' until you have 2 copies total. If you only have 1 and want to upgrade it, you can, by viewing the Golden.

@Celestalon So, a thought... In the spirit of blingyness, would it be possible to have diamond cards *not* count against the all-golden requirement to have a golden Coin in the deck? Upgrading reg Sivara to gold when I'm staring at the diamond version feels... a bit odd.
      • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@WardrumHS You don't need to. Diamonds do count toward Golden Coin.

@Celestalon Can cards show the cards they generate? Some do like colossal but there’s a lot that don’t
      • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@porcinopadre Our general rule for this is to show the token card if there is relevant gameplay info that's not described on the base card, AND there's only one token.

@Celestalon Are there future plans to allow the opposite? Downgrade to a non-golden copy because shiny is cool, but dust is better?
      • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@Arrapippol Right now, if you prioritize a wider collection over cosmetics, you can DE the golden when you get duplicates. But you do still get to have some goldens, for the ones you haven't gotten dupes of yet.
        • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@Arrapippol I think it'd be sad to lose that. I think the game is probably less fun if you crack some packs at the start of an expansion, get a golden legendary you plan to use, and think "oooh, that's pretty... but the 'right' move is to downgrade it".

      • Chadd Nervigg

Posted 3 years, 10 months ago (Source)
@Gomseplay Both normal and golden of the card must be craftable.

@Celestalon Thanks for all of the hard work on the new features. Will the random card back selection be added back? Having to add every card back to favorites is a lot to manage if you want to keep having every skin in the pool. Thanks!
