I really wish I could like Hearthstone. It has an incredibly cute aesthetic. I love deckbuilding, I love card games. But that game is so incredibly greedy and just... anti-fun. When I played years back, you couldn't earn ANYTHING from going against your friends? Only randos?

So much stuff is behind paywall after paywall. Play against randos to get your 'free' stuff, but it's a slog. Everyone's pay to win, everyone's a pro. And what's the build up for? Playing with your friends for no rewards? Single player content in it is mostly paywall too

@Celestalon it HAS been a very long time. I'm willing to believe games like that can grow for the better. I'll check it out again sometime maybe *squints* Hearthstone Features Lead not that I don't trust you, but I'm sure you understand, hahaha.

@Taco_Night_ Yeah, I'm obviously biased, heh. But there have been big changes to nearly everything you mentioned. Free meta deck for returning players, quests count against friends, reward track full of free rewards, tons of free story-driven single player content...

@Celestalon @Taco_Night_ And the entire core set is free to obtain. Pretty big one to forget, but alot have changed to the better on the availability front :P
