@hsdecktech Is joining an HOA mandatory? All I hear about them is horror stories. Why would anyone voluntarily join?

@juugszn Necessary if you live in a place that they control (like I assume any condo of a decent size would be?). And you just get a condo because it’s cheaper than a detached home. In theory they fund building perks and handle issues with the money, but it sure feels like a rip.
