      Dark Souls 1 didn't make a "ton" of money. Elden Ring sure did. Sometimes you have to keep going to get to the payoff. Building player trust is the NUMBER ONE thing.

        @DevSpacePrez Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn is a perfect example of a studio taking a massive risk (literally the company) and it paying off. You have to be willing to gamble to make something great.
