Struggling to find this info from google, so wondering if anyone on Twitter has run into this: When you get a covid test, I think they ask if you've gotten a booster in the last 14 days. What happens if you say yes? Does having a booster cause a false positive? Antigen vs PCR?

I'm getting my booster on one particular day, and then doing something that requires getting tested 2 days later.

My (not a doctor) understanding is that Antigen tests are testing for the presence of the covid-fighting antibodies, whereas PCR tests are testing for the virus itself. That would imply that the vaccine would cause a false positive on Antigen, but not PCR.

@Celestalon That seems to be the case, home test might give you a false positive. PCR should definitely comeback clean (assuming you don't actually get infected in the mean time). https://t.co/sAafzQu4TM https://t.co/KUmUdbpc1c
