      Round 1 vs. Mew VMAX LWL Game 1: Lost the coin flip and went second game 1. Mew set up with a full Genesect bench and was able to snipe my Kyurem before I could evolve on my turn 2. Game 2: Went first and set up, easy win. Game 3: Went second, repeat of game 1.

        Round 2 vs. Kyurem/Palkia LWL Pretty much a rinse and repeat of the first match. In the mirror if you go second and your opponent doesn't miss setting up or evolving, you're just playing from behind.

          Round 3 vs. Goodra WW I hadn't played vs. Goodra IRL before! Felt like a reasonable matchup for Kyurem. 330 hp is a lot for Goodra to get through, and Kyurem can hit 350 to KO past the dmg reduction. Games are long though, so glad I won game 2 or it would have ended in a tie.

            Round 4 vs. Arceus/Giratina WW Steamrolled pretty hard in both games. Able to take knockouts turn 2, and Arc just never got set up.

              Round 5 vs. Palkia/Kyruem WLT Won game 1, lost game 2, and game 3 went to time. The concept of a round timer is not something that I'm super used to. I was scooped fairly early in game 2 to finish game 3, but no dice. Still technically in contention for day 2 at this point.

                Round 6 vs. Zoroark WL? Game 1 I went first and took an easy W, game 2 my opp set up and took an early knockout, and game 3 we went to time. I was ahead, but the game wasn't going to finish. My opp was super nice and had traveled far, so I decided to just gave him the win.

                  It was pretty late in the day at this point, we would both be out of day 2 contention if we tied, and I wanted to go play side events with Sage who had dropped 1 round earlier. Standard pods were really fun, and I won a couple on Sunday which was nice.

                    All in all, I had a lot of fun! My serious competing days are probably behind me, but I may go to another Regional later in the season and I look forward to playing in local cups when they return next year. Pokemon is fun. :) (Hearthstone 4ever tho, don't get it twisted)
