i love shiny hunting in Pokemon games, but GOD DAMN do i dislike outbreak resetting in Scarlet/Violet having to go into the Switch menu to change the date to reset outbreaks kills the fun entirely for me :/ I liked how minmaxing outbreaks in PL:Arceus was done entirely in-game

@MyntyPhresh It’s my understanding that you only need to move the date forward ONCE and then if you don’t have any outbreaks you want, just reset without a save and you should get new rolls when you load the game back up

@WhyteKnoize but that's the thing - having to go into the main menu at all and mess with settings unrelated to the game just feels so icky to me i don't want to have to mess with my switch calendar just to see a funny monkey with different colored eyes

@MyntyPhresh @WhyteKnoize is there a reason you do that over going to an area where it spawns with a shiny/encounter lv3 sandwich?

@KuriennoHS @WhyteKnoize nah i think im just stubborn lol. its weird - if outbreaks didnt exist at all, id be doing raids/sandwiches and id be chilling. but the outbreak method existing and being "easier" while having you mess with the switch settings turns me off from shiny hunting in this game entirely
