@SilentNickHS What they both said is correct. You get the effect when playing the card spends all your remaining mana.

@hsdecktech So if it cost 5 mana and I use it a turn 5, finale activates. If I use it a turn 7 do I have to spend those 2 mana left or that will use it to activate finale?

@SilentNickHS When you play the card, if you have 0 mana, you get the effect. So playing it on 5 gets the effect. Playing it with 7 will not trigger the effect, you need to spend that extra 2 mana first and then play the 5 mana card as your finale for the turn.

@SilentNickHS a Finale card needs your Mana to be 0 during it being played for the Finale to trigger if your Ghost Writer costs (5), you need to have 5 mana when you play it if it was discounted to (2) somehow and you have 2 mana left, playing it would trigger finale
