Tile said it was 12". Lies. I bet a man measured it. 😉 https://t.co/xLvwiKlJAT

@alkali_layke Maybe they expect 3/16" of grout between each one?

@Celestalon @alkali_layke Nice to see a greater mind than mine had the same thought. :D

@WmAJensen @alkali_layke I dunno about greater, especially in a field I know *nothing* about.

@Celestalon Better than the inches off we usually find I guess. 🤣🤣

@alkali_layke Is it off, or do tile measurements allow space for grout? Asking as someone who had a thought and honestly doesn't know.

@WmAJensen Its 2/8 off and I'm using 1/8 spacers so that's a likely assumption I'd thought of. But either way... joke is funny 😁

@alkali_layke The term is "shrinkage". Is it cold or wet? That can cause shrinkage. Never measure in cold weather. Oh wait, we are talking about tile? I have no idea.

@chWolfgang You have a great point. The tile is freezing. I'll cut it some slack

@alkali_layke Isn't that to accommodate for grout? Like tile + grout= 12"? I'm not super versed in tile though. Maybe it's like the "2x4 isn't really 2"x4" kind of thing? Who knows 😂

@alkali_layke well aren't you going to put grout around the tile? because that would make this tile circumscribed

@RidiculousHat Circumscribed. You are...something else Hat

@alkali_layke I know you’re no stranger to DIY so I’m guessing the sticky paper backing wouldn’t work for this kind of wall tile vs. the mortar backing you did?

@kilmarnok1285 I just don't trust it. I see a ton of people using it but I'm just not there yet. Especially for a bathroom with lots of humidity

@alkali_layke Hope you have a tile saw. I attempted to score break tile one time, went out and bought a tile saw the next day.
