We've heard some feedback, and are considering a tweak to duplicate protection: When you get a golden card, it will prefer... 1) a card you haven't gotten any copy of, then 2) a card you haven't gotten the golden [or higher] of, then 3) any random card. Currently that [or… https://t.co/mAieGEaql9

(I suspect feelings on this are probably generally positive since FoL, whereas they were probably generally negative in MotLK.)

@Celestalon I do have a question about the wording, "any copy of" implies that for lower rarities, you will get one gold of each card in that rarity before potentially getting the second golden copy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but seems kind of weird.

@BrianDeBrain_ Nah, no change there. "Max usable copies for the rarity" is still implied.

@Celestalon Here’s a situation I just came across… I had a regular and diamond Darkbishop Benedictus from Stormwind. Core set this year wouldn’t let me play my diamond, so I upgraded my regular to golden so that I could play the golden in core set. I wouldn’t mind the golden draw.

@TheToucherHS That's just a bug though, that is getting fixed.

@Celestalon I like that👍🏻 Would also be cool to have cards you have disenchanted still count towards cards collected and as “owned”. This way: 1. Who purchased old adventures but sold some legendaries would still be able to obtain the diamonds 2. Can’t get a card you’ve disenchanted

@GattiBonati That’s already how it works. Dupe protection doesn’t care about whether you currently have a card, only whether you’ve EVER* had it. *since duplicate protection was added back in… when was that, 17.0? Something like that, years ago.

@Celestalon I have a question about how it currently works. lets say I get every GvG card and then dust a golden boom, even though I have owned boom will the game see that its the only GVG legend im missing next time i would pull a legend from gvg and guarantee the boom?
