          @Celestalon @BrendenSewell @covingtown Really good insight. If artists get to spend more time crafting their works of art and less time fidgeting with UV mapping, that’s a win-win! Less repetitive fidgeting with assets and more polish all around.

Gamers appreciate artists & they want to know that they're here to stay. These are real concerns that deserve to be assuaged publicly. Just a solid, "Artists will not be replaced by AI @ Blizz."

                @Celestalon @LunethD @BlizzSephire @BrendenSewell @covingtown This is not the same patent in question, this is an entirely separate one. The ethics of 3D character modeling are separate from the ethics of 2D texture generation through machine learning models. (said 3D modeling also hasn't shown up in WoW like mentioned)

I just can't trust this, how can we be sure this isn't going to spiral into something else that will end jobs of talented people? AI as it is right now wasn't thought to be a thing yet by experts and here we are

It's possible Blizzard staff are running interference, sure, but it's almost guaranteed Gamerant doesn't know what they're talking about.
