D.Va can mitigate percentage damage with ablative armour and her defensive matrix, where no other Hero in the game can mitigate percentage damage.
As the title states, D.Va can mitigate percentage damage with her damage mitigating abilities and talents (Defensive matrix and Ablative armour).
Pretty much all percentage damage talents and abilities do their damage in ticks of less than 5%, or just flat damage of less than 5%. So they all get cut in half. Her Defensive matrix cuts percentage damage by 75%.
All I want to know is why? As I have read in the past the devs want to implement a more standard way to deal with percentage damage. So is D.Va bugged or are we rolling out mitigation of percentage damage soon?

I don't think the fact she mitigates percentage damage is bad, mitigation should probably mitigate all damage. Spell armour should mitigate percentage spells like Leorics drain hope. Physical armour should mitigate physcial percentage damage like those who can talent for percentage damage on autoattacks.
However I take issue when it is inconsistent and one hero (D.Va) can mitigate percentage damage, and other's cannot.
Cassia for example has 75% reduction to physical damage whilst moving, currently however this does not reduce percentage damage attached to it, like Tychus' trait.
So inconsistencies in how mitigation works is my issue.
EDIT: Suck my balls ♥. Since you all asked for proof of certain things, I've gone into custom games and checked it out.
My scrub GM friend doesn't want to waste his gold on D.Va so I have no video of this but at level 20 Tychus does;
VS D.Va = 181 (4% of health tick) + 96 auto-attack.
VS D.Va + Defensive matrix (75% damage reduction) = 45 (4% of health tick) + 24 auto-attack.
VS D.Va + Ablative armour (Anything under 5% of health is reduced by 50%) = 90 (4% of health tick) + 48 auto-attack.
As I stated in my initial post, no other Heroes in the game can reduce percentage damage, D.Va is the first and only. The only percentage damage she cannot reduce is Kharazims 7 Sided Strike as Khararzim is not target-able during this ability and thus his damage cannot be reduced by defensive matrix. Cheers /u/Batzipower for testing that one.
BONUS VIDEO for /u/Spazzo965 and his comment thread on how shrink ray effects percentage damage. It does not effect it!

Just wanted to pop in here and say that right now nothing should be able to mitigate % health damage which makes D.Va's Defense Matrix an unintended exception so we're going to change it in a future patch. As OP pointed out, this is inconsistent with how other Heroes work and while D.Va may disagree, she shouldn't be a special snowflake (in that regard).
