Thank you Riot for making beautiful card art and for properly crediting artists.

I have played digital card games for years (started with Mtgo, then moved onto Hearthstone), and something that always bothered me in HS is that it felt like card art and artists were pushed to the margins of what the game is about.

I absolutely love that cards have big art boxes, and in client in game you can view the whole art piece, with proper artist credit and flavor text, without having to navigate to the collection.

This gives artists more visibility and allows players to connect with cards based solely on their favorite artists. I can't tell you how many MTG cards that resonated more with me from the depiction in the art, than anything the card actually did. LoR feels like it is on the right path with getting artists the recognition they deserve in game, and I love it.

Thank you Riot.

Thank you for the taking the time to post this! The topic is near and dear to our hearts.

From the very beginning, we knew that card art was going to be a huge part of the LoR experience. We wanted them to be amazing and to do that we needed to partner with some of the best illustrators in the world. They are a part of our team, so it's only fitting that they get recognized as such! It seemed like a no-brainer that we get to credit and celebrate them within the game itself.
