PSA: Boosting downwards on ground as D.Va on Sanctum, Lighthouse, University Control maps does not contest the objective
Nepal Sanctum, as we all know from Contenders, Ilios Lighthouse, and Oasis University. Some parts of Sanctum still lets you contest the point due to uneven ground height, but for the most part, it doesn't. Boosting downwards refers to just using Boosters at an angle downwards; it doesn't need to be completely straight down on the ground.
Brief explanation: D.Va's model goes slightly below the capture point volume on these maps, and I believe the bottom of the collision models are used to determine if someone's on the point. For these 3 maps, the capture volume is not sufficiently below the ground level, so D.Va will exceed the boundaries of the control point.
If you do not understand what I meant, it's fine, just take note if you play D.Va on these maps. I have forwarded my findings to Blizzard. No guarantee that the reasoning is 100% accurate, but hopefully they'll be able to fix this.
Till then, don't shove her face into the ground! ;)
Addendum, this list of maps isn't extensive. It could possibly happen on other maps with control points as well. Lijiang Tower Control Center is another map with this problem.
