Constant crashing the passed few weeks, now up to a 2 hour ban and losing lots of SR

I have been playing this game without any issues since day 1. I've had random instances of crashing during some patches... since the anniversary update i have been constantly crashing, sometimes 3-4 times a game and getting several bans. I am worried I will get a permanent ban this season - I'm now up to a 2 hour ban and have lost tons of SR because of this. I've turned off all overclocking I had on my cpu, gpu, everything. Nothing has helped or fixed the issue. Updated Nvidia drivers. Why is this happening?!?! - I have an i7 4770k, Asus Strix 1080 OC edition. Does anyone have any idea whats going on here? Blizzard really needs to do something about these crash issues because I know for sure its not only happening to me.

    Hi Bill, - Wow thank you so much for even replying! My Overwatch account is ShauNYC - I will try removing the discord overlay. I truly appreciate your response and your help.

    At the moment I am still banned from all modes and (have an XP penalty as well), so I cannot try to see if removing the overlay helps or not till it ends.

    Is there any way my account can be looked into as far as not having these bans against my account and SR? Either way, thanks so much.

    Unfortunately we cannot adjust SR or leaver penalties. :( Sorry about that.

    Hey there ShauNYCxxx- I think your crashes are a result of the Discord Overlay. Can you try disabling that and see if things are more stable for you?

    Since this post is on reddit I can't be certain I found your account (bit of a guess from your username here). If you post on our tech support forums we're able to help a bit more easily.

    In regards to the crash, we try our best to identify when external software interacts in a bad way with Overwatch, but it's a very hard problem (since we don't control that software). I'm sorry you've hit some instability, I hope this helps!
