RuneFest gave way to a lot of announcements, including the fourth major update to RuneScape, but it also announced a project that aims to bring players back to the old roots of the game back when it was new. That project is RuneScape Reignited.
RuneScape Reignited launches on December 2, and it even has a period of access without membership that will last until December 12. Also announced is the support of plugins and hundreds of requested features and changes from the playerbase over the years and some unpopular features removed, like a remastered (or rather, "reignited") version of the old RuneScape.
Jagex also announced a roadmap for this new version of the game, with three new expansions announced: Hoard of Dragons, City of Gnomes, and Secrets of Karamja
