Amonkhet Remastered is releasing today on MTG Arena! The remastered set combines cards from Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation into one big boost for Historic, and later Pioneer, for MTG Arena. In addition to the cards from those sets that made the cut, not all of them did, fourteen cards (Invocations) have been added into the mix from other sets. We're shining a spotlight on these cards.
Interestingly, five cards are using special art from the Amonkhet Invocations Promotional cards, though their very unique frames didn't carry over. These cards are:
- Wrath of God
- Thoughtseize
- Pact of Negation
- Shatterstorm
- Lord of Extinction

Agreed. MTGA's Historic is so much more expensive than HS's Wild because of various reasons. In HS I play Wild only, but in MTGA... It's Standard once in a while but not being able to keep up.
Looks interesting, but as a relatively new player I rather concentrate my resources on standard.
I feel like this is testing the waters for Arena for back-filling the historic slot to be closer to table top. I'm like you though, I want to concentrate on cards with more than one format.
