Edit: lol i wrote this msg under another reply and he deleted the reply, now it looks like i wrote it under YourprivateNightmare.

Why people don't stand after what they said ? :P

  • Finally back to Targon! I thought we'd be wandering aimlessly forever.

  • I wonder which champion could be next? :D :D :D

    • The one that you've been waiting for, right!

    • Targon needs its Poro support!

  • Doesn't Daybreak feel a bit too easy to trigger?

    • Well yeah, basically daybreak deck would be punished by open attack maybe. I think daybreak mechanic will only appear on unit.

    • It may feel easy to trigger in a vacuum, but wait until you want to play more than one Daybreak card in a turn.

Having too many in a deck can be counterproductive.

That's the clever thing--they are extremely easy to trigger; they are less easy to get value from. Notice that Solari Soldier, Solari Shieldbearer, and Sun Guardian are all only "until end of turn" effects. Smart opponents will try to always open-attack to prevent you from getting a crazy value block. So really, you're probably only getting value from these cards if you have an attack token and you develop instead of open-attack.

But what makes me really psyched is that I think this means

      • Leona is being revealed tomorrow and will have daybreak synergies
      • Diana will likely get nightfall synergies to mirror Leona's daybreak synergies
      • Targon will get some nightfall cards (because honestly what they showed for SI / Nocturne was few and underwhelming)

You are right about other stuff you mentioned but [Hearthstone Card (Solari Soldier) Not Found] is a 3/3 opener when you are the first player which means it will stay on board even it got blocked because most of 1-cost minions have 1-2 attack and there is not a real answer for spells in the game. That card might be problematic at some point.

You might say that Jagged Butcher is same with Warning Shot but it empties your hand and cause you to lose sources at mid-game which is not valid for Midrange/Aggro Targon with Solari Soldier. It seemed a little op to me as an oppener.

  • Hmn... is Rahvun's text just a spice like Power Overwhelming or does it indicate that the added card can trigger Daybreak despite playing other cards earlier in the turn?

    • That, or they're introducing a day/night mechanic... that has nothing to do with Nightfall and Daybreak...

It may also be that Nightfall/Daybreak add some sort of change to the board, the way Deep does, and Rahvun's effect prevents Nightfall from triggering, for example.

      • Several of Diana's datamined voice lines are triggered by it being "Night."

I think it means the latter--Daybreak triggers irregardless of how many cards you've played

    • His text means that the Daybreak will trigger regardless of how many cards you've played before.
