Micro Mummy Bug in Battlegrounds Fixed via Small Client Update, Fixes for Freezing Trap

Published 5 years, 6 months ago by

Blizzard has implemented a fix for Micro Mummy in Hearthstone's Battlegrounds and it will require a small client-side update. This also fixes an issue with Freezing Trap.

  • The update will be 160 MB in Size.
  • It will appear as a 1.6 GB update due to verification.
  • The minion will return tomorrow, this Thursday.

Hey everyone,

Later today we’ll be deploying a hotfix to implement the following fix:

  • Creating a golden Micro Mummy in Battlegrounds will no longer cause crashes.

Edit: There is a small 160mb download associated with this update! You may see the download as 1.6gb, but that’s just a file verification. To further clarify, we’ve patched in the fix for Micro Mummy with this update, but the minion will not be re-enabled until tomorrow.

We’ve also seen reports that minions sent back to hand from Freezing Trap are unplayable. We’re working towards a fix for this in the future, but there is a workaround in the meantime—while clicking on the card does nothing, you can drag on the card in order to play it.

  • I’m not sure this card is fixed yet.  I tripled it in Battlegrounds and was immediately kicked out of the game.  I could never rejoin the match

    • Confirmed.  I tried it again and same results.  Crashed out and can’t re-enter game.

  • Strange. I've already downloaded the original update. Yet it's downloading over 1 GB of data right now, not just a small 160 MB fix???

  • Talking about bug fixes - I am pretty sure this one was spotted before, but somehow I have missed it and since I notice it twice already, I am pretty sure it's there (BUT it does not appear every time you do this, sometimes it is discounted to 1):

    - Playing Skull of Gul'dan with an Outcast active doesn't discount the 4 mana 4/2 DH weapon that puts 2 soul fragments in your deck. It discounts the other 2 cards you draw, but this one stays 4 mana and you lose 4 mana when you play it (so it's not just a graphical bug).

What's the Blizz responce to that?

    • Are you drawing a soul fragment when it doesn't work or is it just a normal draw?

No no, it's not about the soul fragments (if I draw any, I just heal and draw another card) - the weapon (Marrowslicer) does not get discounted to 1 and stays 4 mana, even tho it should cost 1 mana (it happen twice already).

        • That's weird, I only asked about the soul fragment cos I knew that interrupted the discount but if it's happening without the fragments that definitely sounds like a bug

  • Yeah tomorrow because mobile is as always delayed...

  • Fantastic! I was looking forward to playing with the little guy!
