We're live recapping the Legends of Runeterra portion of the Riot Games Season 2021 Opening Day!

Nearly a year ago they set out to make a better card game.
Since launch, they have released hundreds of cards, new features, and champions.
They are levelling up their events and champions this year.

What's Next:

Shurima confirmed!
- Never-before-seen version of the society.
- Finding relics
- Power is available to everyone who is resourceful enough.
They want to release more champions more often; Outside of expansion launches.
- Aphelios arrives later this month.
  - Choose which moon weapon you want to use first.
Champion mastery arrives in Runeterra! Playing champions earns them mastery points, unlocking new cosmetics.
January 13 - A co-op experience is being added to labs!
Social features will be a big feature this year. Its started with the co-op lab.
We'll see the Ruined King as an event this year alongside League of Legends. Details to come.

It was a bit disappointing to be honest, they didn't talk about a balancing patch at all, and as esport they announced the seasonal tournament, which already exist.
The new champion looks really fun to play tho

If you wanted to here devs talking about balance patch you came to the wrong place my friend. Seasonal reveals are all about hyping new content, always been.

Not talking about it but at least say something about it, a single sentence like "also there would be some balance in february" or similar would have been good enough.
What i find disappointing is the few news we got, basically the only new is the champion expansion

We got a new region, a co-op mode, and a new event. So no the champion expansion is not the only new thing. Don't get me wrong I wanna see a new balance patch too (The grand plaza and go hard both need some adjustment) but there is time for that and a seasonal reveal is not it.

That's so hype ! More regular Champion releases, Co-op modes, new region, new event across all Runeterra games, more customization with the champion mastery system ! The LoR community is truly blessed today
