  • Is it just me or Taliyah's skin is brighter and her eyebrows are less thicc?

    • This is a big deal all over the subreddit right now. Yes, she has been "white-ified." Or "Lux-ified," whichever you prefer to call it.

      • Riot has been quick to respond: they've already promised to make changes to the art and also recasted the voice actor (Source).

        • Gotta give big props to Riot once again for being so open to community feedback. I personally didn't really mind the differences in art and voice but I get why other people were bothered by it. I just hope the artist(s) and voice actress don't take it personally, but from what I've seen on the subreddit people seemed pretty nice about the issues they had so it's probably fine.

  • I saw Taliyah and thought, "Landmark synergy? That seems dumb."

    Then I looked at the support cards. Well, this is different.

    And yeah, if you're a different region playing landmarks against Taliyah, you might as well insta-concede (at least as things look right now).

     

  • Well, apparently no one else is allowed to play landmarks anymore. Shurima has two different ways to kill any landmark, one free (and upside if it's your own) and one a way to kill a landmark with a body attached (and upside if it's your own) - and they have buckets of landmarks that they don't care if they die and may even want to kill them.

    So, good luck, Aphelios, with your Temple dreams. Pretty sure the days of the Temple's dominance are numbered.

    • “Teen Spirit” is a skill not a spell, so Shurima has only 1 Landmark removal now. I expect it’ll be like playing against Ezreal Draven with Scorched Earth.

  • Landmarks may finally become their own archetype, not just small addition to some decks.

        • Rek'Sai is a champion from League of Legends; she's a monstrous sand shark-esque creature from the Void. She can sense enemy footsteps from far away, mark enemies with a void blast and then dive-bomb those people to carve them up.

  • Promising Future got much more interesting. With Stasis Statue, you can summon up to two strong units. Maybe with The Rekindler?

    Ancient Hourglass itself looks like an alternative to Glimpse Beyond, with the upside to make the target immune to cards like The Ruination.

    • I think it won't work with The Rekindler as you obliterate an ally, not kill it. It would have to die later different way.

        If you cast Ancient Hourglass on an allied The Rekindler, it will resurrect a 2nd champion when released from Stasis Statue. (You will need to have had a Champion die earlier of course, but that's generally not too difficult to arrange.)
