Hearthstone's Protector Mercenaries are the primary line of defense for your Party. They deal double damage to Fighters and typically have higher Health values than Fighters and Casters. They can help control the game through Taunts and buffs, though you won't find them particularly good at ranged combat, and they are a bit slower than other roles.

I wanted to share my thought and my looking for lines up:
starters: Cairne/Tirion/Millhouse (or antonidas)
bench: Lich king/Diablo/blinkfox
Cairne giving time to Tirion to buff both of them and to Millhouse to burst their protector. The heal and divine shield to grind and survive. it will be very hard to focus Fire one of them early.
if Cairne dies, Tirion will be already big and you could chose to drop Lich king or Diablo according to their team. If Millhouse dies, drop blinkfox to ensure Tirion attaque first.
i favor burst Millhouse at the start over blinkfox manablink simply because the impact at the beginning of stolen abilities won’t be as efficient than to burst someone out quickly.
I Honestly love the line up Diablo/Valeera but I don’t see it work. Same as the token Sylvanas team simply because no protectors suit this build.
the “family” build don’t look amazing right now because of the number of mercenaries revealed. I feel those like that:
nature>Demons>Orc>human(holy)>token>beast buff>Dragon>Murloc

*Ahem*....Clearly Blizzard forgot to add Deathwing to this patch. I'm sure he'll pop up when Mercenaries Releases... or there will be disappointment and destruction
There's also my personal favorite (Kel'Thuzad), and the King of Hearthstone: Dr. Boom! Something else to consider is the number of people from the reveal trailer who are not among the datamined Mercs: ETC, Medivh, Lorewalker Cho, Maiev, High Inquisitor Whitemane, etc.
Got to save something for the expansions, I guess? Or we don't have all the Merc information, which is definitely possible.
Oh yea good point, also Lady Prestor and Kazakus were shown too. Maybe they do updates similar to BGs where they add a couple new heroes each expansion. I'd be quite surprised if Mercenaries gets it's own expansion, similar to traditional HS.
Yeah, there has to be a Kazakus, brewing potions and/or summoning golems. It won't feel like a Hearthstone game without him.
