Welcome back! Looks like the miniset is almost upon us, and judging by the teaser it seems our resident predictor may have been bang on the money. Standard hasn't really been the focus as of late, with so many changes to other modes, so it'll be nice to see it get the sppotlight again - hopefully not because it's been broken in half!

Duel Of The Fates

The Fan Community Spotlight turns its attention this week to a new mode - Duels! It seems that Machadogps has taken it upon themselves to create an entirely new hero, Puppetmaster Lazul, and everything that comes with that.

 

Lazul combines the Warlock and Priest classes - just as Diablo combined the Warlock and Warrior classes - which means that the Hero Powers and treasures are tailored to the strengths of those two classes. I think Duels is fantastic for this, as it allows charcaters which straddle the line between classes to potentially make it into the game, crafted with abilities that feel more appropriate than the Standard single Hero Power.
