Descent of Dragons has a lot of interesting new mechanics, including a new twist on an old favourite for our four Explorers to help them against the EVIL-ly resurrected Galakrond.
Sidequests are a new version of Quests. Since this is only a sidequest (probably from a Tortollan or something) and not your main objective, it doesn't start in your hand. However, you do end up doing a lot more sidequests than you think; these come at lower rarities, so you can run two in your deck, and can even run them alongside other Quests or Sidequests if you want to!

Here's a few examples of what a Sidequest will look like.

Learn draconic is good support for little-spell mage with the new quest, flamewaker etc. Btw, are all sidequests 1 mana?
1 mana 6/6? I guess we‘ll do this quest more than once..
Hunter sidequest seems a little too aggressive, especially with Necromechanic in standard
Yeah, they should balance it by nerfing Leper Gnome to "Deathrattle: deal 1 damage to the enemy hero": that's definitely too stronk the way it is now.
idk if its really that strong 7 mana and atleast 3 turns for 6 face damage
Interesting. Not sure how practical / competitive they will be but it could be fun.
Are Side quests for all classes or only for the 4 League of Heroes classes (Mage, Paladin, Druid and Hunter)?
Only for the 4 good classes.
Does anybody know if you can have more of these active at the same time? Or there can be only one (active at the same time)?
I have not tried it yet, but if you run Uldum and Un'Goro Quests in the same deck, they both start in your hand, but you can have only one active at the same time. If you will play the second one, the first one is replaced. Can we have Quest and Sidequest (or multiple Sidequests) active at the same time?
Of course I don't know for sure, but I bet you can do few sidequest at once, just like in life ;).
Mmh, the fact they don't start in hand makes them quest-ionable (pun intended).
Hopefully, there's some efficient tutor for these.
Guys, I just want to say that you are on fire tonight with news, articles, and all reveals! Thank you for your hard work!
