Legends of Runeterra's next expansion is Worldwalker! We're going to get to hear all about the new expansion, and the Path of Champions 2.0 later this week on Friday, May 13 at 9:00AM PT!

What to Expect From Worldwalker

Here's everything we know so far about Worldwalker.

  • Four new champions are being added.
  • Some champions will have special deck building rules - "Runeterran Champions".
    • Jhin is one of these Champions and will allow you to build a deck using cards with skills from all the regions.
  • Over 65 new collectible cards are being added.
  • There will be daily card reveals starting next week. 
  • Worldwalker releases later this month.

Additionally, the streamed event this Friday will be around an hour long and during it, viewers will get to influence the first card reveals of the season.

Path of Champions 2.0

Although not much is known about the big Path of Champions update, this was something Riot previously touched upon in their Early 2022 Roadmap.

  • Riot didn't think this mode would become the most popular mode, beating out all the other modes in LoR combined.
  • More stories, large-scale progression revamp, new regions, new relics, and more are coming.

With the specific callout, we're expecting to learn more about the updates in this week's stream.

And More?

Although not mentioned in the official post, we do know that a Pulsefire Event is coming to Legends of Runeterra this month. One neat thing about this event is we're going to see more free rewards than usual in the event pass, which will help players improve their collections.

Hopefully Riot will provide a sneak peek of the event during the presentation.

Worldwalker Live Reveal Stream

To kick off spoiler season, join us on Friday, May 13 at 9:00AM PT for a live, interactive reveal stream hosted by Casanova (@CasanovaCasts)! In this hour-long stream, we’ll be debuting the Worldwalker trailer and giving viewers the opportunity to directly influence the first card reveals of the season. Theorycrafters - you’re going to want to tune in.

Developer Q&A

Mid-way through the reveal stream, we’ll have a short intermission where we’ll be joined by Worldwalker design leads RiotIAmWalrus & Tyler Morgan to provide some extra background on Worldwalker and answer some questions from the community! Submit your own question using this form - we won’t have time to get to every individual question asked, but we’ll be consolidating similar questions to answer as many as possible during the Q&A.

Reveal Schedule

You’re not going to want to miss the live event, but if you can’t make it, don’t worry! The day 1 reveals will be available on Mobalytics, DAK.gg, and many other partner sites a few hours after the stream ends. After that, tune in every day on official Legends of Runeterra social channels for daily reveals leading up to the release of Worldwalker later this month!
