Watch Live
You can watch all of the action on the official PlayHearthstone YouTube channel or on PlayHearthstone's Twitch channel. In addition to the official English stream with Lii and Lorinda as casters, the players themselves are allowed to stream the event. There will also be a bunch of community co-streams, the full list of which you can find here.
New "Tavern Buddy" Twitch Extension Now Available
The technology is now here! If you choose the English Twitch channel as your destination for live viewing of the event, you might find yourself with a handful of new tools at your disposal. All viewers will be able to use the special “Tavern Buddy” extension to pick their favorite players, predict events, and showcase their HS knowledge in order to compete against other viewers and the casters themselves for bragging rights.
Yes, just bragging rights apparently. No rewards that we know of, unless it's all a secret. Or perhaps just a playtest for the future. Unlike the Constructed tournaments, these Battlegrounds events don't offer any special drops just for watching, so this is one of the new ways for trying to engage the audience.
Quote From Blizzard We are thrilled to dive into the possibilities of a new Twitch Extension during the Lobby Legends broadcast. With “Tavern Buddy”, viewers will be able to challenge each other and our casters with their HS knowledge while supporting their favorite players and predicting how various matches will go. Who is the biggest Battlegrounds fan? Who has the magical premonitions to know what is to come? This is your chance to find out and lord those bragging rights over your friends!
THE PUZZLE BOX
Viewers answer a series of yes/no or over/under questions at the start of every broadcast, such as “Will one player get 1st place more than once?” Points are earned for each correct answer.
FANTASY TEAM
Before the start of each Group, viewers choose 3 players they believe will perform the best out of the 8. Viewers earn points based on their game results.
BANDWAGON
Viewers pick a player during the first few turns of each game. Points are earned based on that player’s finish. The earlier they choose, the more possible points.
BAROV’S BLESSING
Once during each game, the broadcast will focus on a single matchup and viewers will be asked to predict the winner of that turn.
Is that enough for you to tune in?
