Riot shared a preview into the upcoming card change patch 3.15.0 and it seems to be as big as the mid-expansion balance patches have lately been. Here are the early highlights in short:
- 27 buffs have been announced alongside 9 nerfs.
- A total of 8 Champions will get a buff, with one getting a direct nerf.
- Popular cards like Concurrent Timelines and Riptide Sermon can be found on the nerf list.
Full details will be announced in the patch notes next Tuesday, September 27.
Sneak Peek at the upcoming Balance Adjustments! We’re hitting some high performing decks and giving our underperforming champions a little love. We’re also adjusting our Daybreak decks to bring them back into the light.
There are two buffs that didn't make the main announcement that are also part of the patch: Illaoi Ornn sorry about the confusion!

Not gonna lie I was not enjoying this meta, this patch is targeting most of the problematic cards ( Veigo, Riptide sermon, Mark of the Storm, and Concurrent timelines ) and buffing some of my favorite cards ( Swain and Leviathan ) so good patch overall.
Leona being my favorite champion - despite my icon suggesting otherwise - I would be extremely happy right now if I still played the game lol
Been wanting a Viego nerf for a long time now, the champion does too much for 5 mana. Daybreak buffs are welcome, it's a straightforward midrange deck and the game could use more of those. Timelines, Sermon and Hate Spike nerfs are welcome; Decimate and Harrowing nerfs are surprising. Variety champion buffs are good to see, even though I don't play any of those. There seems to be an attempt to make big spiders viable with buffs to Shrieking Spinner, Twisted Treeline and Vilemaw.
The biggest miss seems to be not nerfing Nami decks
