MARVEL SNAP's Hot Location this weekend is Onslaught's Citadel!

Onslaught's Citadel is a great home for any of your favorite Ongoing abilities, like Iron Man or Patriot. There's plenty of cool things to try with the Citadel - you can get extra On Reveals with Wong or double up your doubling up by copying a potent Ongoing effect with Mystique.

However you choose to plan for the Hot Location, you'd better get used to it; being a Hot Location means that Onslaught's Citadel will have a 50% chance to appear for 24 hours, from 8 PM PT Saturday night to 8 PM PT Sunday night (2 AM UTC Sunday to 2 AM UTC Monday).

Hot Decks for Onslaught's Citadel

If you're looking for ideas of what decks you can play to the Hot Location, we've got you covered: with recommended decks for players just starting out in Series 1, players still moving up through Series 2, and players who are starting to fill their collections with cards from Series 3, 4, and 5.

Series 1 Spectrum Ongoing

Spectrum should be a good choice for 6-Drop with the current hot location giving us plenty of reasons to run good Ongoing cards. This deck packs in a lot of ways to get an extra benefit from Onslaught's Citadel, and can win a second location in a number of ways - our favorite is Professor X and Klaw.

Series 2 Iron Dino

Both Devil Dinosaur and Iron Man are good ways to get a lot of Power to Onslaught's Citadel, and this deck also runs Ant-Man and Mister Fantastic for extra ways to make good on the hot location.

Series 3 Patriot

You may find it boring, but Patriot is still one of the most reliable ways to rank up in MARVEL SNAP. That becomes doubly true when you factor in the hot location, where you can drop both Patriot and Mystique for major Ongoing buffs.

Series 3 Wong Negative

If you're interested in achieving huge numbers while the hot location remains Onslaught's Citadel, perhaps we could interest you in a Mister Negative deck that uses the flexibility of cheaper cards to make the Black Panther Arnim Zola combo even more potent. Besides, if all else fails, Iron Man is still a good play to the hot location, and we're running Rogue to steal something good from our opponents.

Series 3 Omega Red Hazmat

If you don't want big Power for yourself, maybe you'd be more interested in a deck that sends its opponents into the negatives with Hazmat and Wong. Because things can get lopsided real quick, this deck also runs Omega Red, whose boost gets doubly effective when played to the hot location.

What are Hot Locations in MARVEL SNAP?

There are two different types of location events in MARVEL SNAP, both of which have a 50% chance of appearing for the next 24 hours.

  • Sunday's Hot Location that always pulls from existing locations.
  • Wednesday's Featured Location that usually shows off new locations, but will pull from the pool of existing locations from time to time.

The increased appearance rate for the Hot Location will shake up the meta for a day - for example, Odin was the finisher of choice for many players when Kamar-Taj was the Hot Location.
