You can unlock 5 card styles in the MTG Arena Historic Artisan Even taking place over the next 10 days.

  • The entry fee is 2500 gold or 500 gems.
  • The event lasts from now (Dec 20) until December 30.
  • You can play as many games as you want during the event.
  • All matches take place on a special Eldraine themed holiday battlefield.

What is Historic Artisan?

Historic Artisan is a format that combines "Historic" and "Artisan" rulesets, both of which are exclusive to MTG Arena.

  • Historic allows you to use any cards in your collection on MTG Arena.
  • Artisan means you can only build decks with Common and Uncommon cards.

In addition to the format rules above, four cards are banned during this event. The banned cards for this event are as follows.

  • Persistent Petitioners
  • Cauldron Familiar
  • Cavalcade of Calamity
  • Gates Ablaze

Unlock new card styles based on how many wins you get in the format. Each win gets you a new card style!

  • 1st win: Card Style for Militia Bugler
  • 2nd win: Card Style for Curious Obsession
  • 3rd win: Card Style for Cast Down
  • 4th win: Card Style for Guttersnipe
  • 5th win: Card Style for Wildgrowth Walker
