The Call of Duty Modern Warfare III beta's second weekend has arrived and this time around, everyone is welcome to download and play.

  • The open beta weekend runs from October 14 until the 16.
  • Two additional maps are available this weekend - Highrise (Core Map) and Orlov Military Base (Ground War Map).
  • Two more game modes are available - Cutthroat and Search & Destroy.
    • Cutthroat is a new 3v3v3 mode where the last team standing or captures the overtime flag wins.
  • You can reach a maximum level of 30.
  • There are unlockable rewards that carry over to the full game release.
  • This weekend's open beta is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

Modern Warfare III Beta Rewards

The following rewards will be unlocked on your account for the full release in November. They must be earned during the beta test.

  • Level 2: Animated Emblem
  • Level 7: Weapon Charm
  • Level 9: Animated Calling Card
  • Level 11: Sticker
  • Level 15: Vinyl
  • Level 20: Weapon Blueprint
  • Level 24: Sticker
  • Level 30: Operator Skin

Additionally, you can earn Battle Pass XP tokens for use in Modern Warfare II and Warzone by playing the Beta. You will receive 1-hour Battle Pass XP tokens based on the number of days you played (maximum 6 tokens per player). To earn a token, you must log-in and complete at least one Beta match that day to qualify. Once the Beta concludes, your account will be granted the tokens based on the number of days played.

Highrise

Ascend to the rooftop of a New York City skyscraper. Break out across the multilevel terrain, exploring the offices on either side, the helipad, the maintenance tunnels, and the infamous crane leading to huge longshot potential for those who brave its heights.

Orlov Military Base

The Orlov Military Base is narrow and full of corners and warehouses with plenty of windows to fire from. Keep an eye on everything, and either clear it out or use the fast vehicles to blaze a trail down the path to your objective.

Battle.net Install Note

Recently, the Battle.net launcher has merged all the Call of Duty games into a single title, with content that can be installed separately. Upon clicking Install on the Call of Duty Game, you can choose to install the Modern Warfare III Open Beta.

By default, my launcher wanted to install Warzone, so keep that in mind before clicking Start Install!

Good luck out there!
