IMO Hi-Fi Rush should win in at least one category, this game was awesome
I don't think we need esports or content creators listed in The Game Awards - we're here to talk about the games, not the doofuses playing them. They could have their own awards show, about the online community or something.
Also pretty happy with the failure of Starfield to make it onto the GotY listing: there were some very smug people before its release who thought it would clean up all the awards. I take pleasure in their wrongness; Team BG3 all the way.
Yeah, while I really wanted for Starfield to be good, it underdelivered hard. It sucks for all the ppl who worked on it, but for whatever reason, that game does not meet today's standards even if BG3 didnt exist.
True, I guess there was a more...dignified way I could have said that. Didn't mean to slight Bethesda and its workers (although they're Xbox people now, so they've lost my business :/). I was referring namely to the asshole players who were knocking BG3 as being unworthy compared to the mighty Starfield, only to watch as they were fact-checked into oblivion.
