The Game Awards just concluded, and, to no-one's surprise, Baldur's Gate III won its most prestigious award. By far 2023's biggest hit, Larian Studio's latest foray into the RPG genre took the gaming world by storm when it released in August this year. The game is set in the Forgotten Realm, and sees the players going up against an Illithid invasion, among other perils.

Game of the Year isn't the only prize Larian is taking home, though. The game also won Best Performance for Neil Newbon's Astarion, as well as Best Multiplayer, Community Support, Role Playing Game, and the Player's Voice award. The only categories it lost were Game Direction (to Alan Wake II), Score and Music (to Final Fantasy XVI), and Narrative (to Alan Wake II). That's 6 wins out of 9 nominations. Nice.

The last bit of news regarding the game is the fact that it is now available on Xbox Series X|S consoles. So, Team Green, go ahead and make a character to drop in the Forgotten Realms and see what it has to offer!
