The Rogue Prince of Persia Announced During the Triple-i Initiative Livestream

The Triple-i Initiative, a new event put together by various studios in the indie scene, just concluded it's very first showcase. Over 35 titles were presented during the stream, both announcements for new games (a lot of them sequels) and updates to existing titles. You can watch the whole thing here, but the bigest surprise at the presentation has to be the news of a new Prince of Persia game.

Developed by Evil Empire, some of the developers behind Slay the Spire, The Rogue Prince of Persia is a roguelite 2D platformer set in the world of PoP, as the name and studio behind it would imply. The roguelike structure fits well with the Prince's time rewinding powers, and the 2D platforming looks fluid and snappy, similar to The Last Crown, the latest entry in the franchise that was launched at the beginning of the year. The game releases May 14th in Early Access.

Just a guy with opinions video games who decided to share it with everyone against their will :P. I specifically like single-player games and card games, though usually not what's most popular at the moment.

Out of Games is an independent gaming site. Read about how we cover games.
