Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion launches in just over a month (on June 21st), and yet unfortunately there will be no others beyond that one DLC. So sayeth Elden Ring game director and FromSoftware studio head Hidetaka Miyazaki, via a discussion with Chinese outlet Campfire Camp (and reported by GamesRadar). He did not leave out the possiblity of future installments set in the Lands Between, but FromSoftware appears to be moving on from Elden Ring's world for now.

In the past, Bandai Namco's head Yasuo Miyakawa said in a statement that "Much effort was placed into creating Elden Ring so that we could exceed the expectations of our fans worldwide. In like manner, we will continue our efforts in expanding the brand beyond the game itself, and into everyone's daily life." The expectation arose that we may see an Elden Ring "franchise" spawn into additional titles and other content in different mediums, but so far that hasn't happened. For now, we Tarnished will have to settle ourselves with what we have been given by the guidance of Grace, and enjoy Shadow of the Erdtree as a sendoff to the base game.
