We've got news for this year's Summer Game Fest - a ton of people are taking part!

Over 55 studios and publishers will be joining the Summer Game Fest fun this June, across the big week of announcements. Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation will be in attendance and some of the big publishers - Epic Games, Ubisoft, EA, and SEGA - will all be there too. Summer Game Fest's main event the live showcase, will be taking part on June 7 at 2 PM Pacific (5 PM Eastern, 10 PM GMT) and it is being held at the YouTube theatre in Hollywood Park with streams available online.

This will be the first year of Summer Game Fest where E3 no longer exists. The announcement, arriving in mid December of last year, wasn't exactly a surprise considering the impact COVID-19 had on the event and that folks like Sony had even pulled out of it before the pandemic went into effect. Only one E3 took place since 2020's first cancelled year, that was in 2021 where the event was held online instead, attempting to compete with Summer Game Fest.
