It looks like EA's MySims is making a return at the end of this year with a new release, remaster, or remake of the original title. EA has yet to confirm any of the information found in this article so take it with a grain of salt.

So, what is MySims? MySims is a game in the Sims universe which shares several features of a normal Sims title but has a very different feel to it. You don't need to manage individual Sims needs, but you do need to manage a town and bring it back to life after it's turned sour. Your goals in the game are to rebuild the town, meet new people, and build strong relationships to keep everything running smoothly. Tasks are also provided to help make people happy and grow the town further.

MySims launched in 2007 on the Wii and DS and saw later releases on Blackberry and Windows. The game had 5 sequels and as you may have guessed, it was quite popular.

To kick off with the leaks, EA has accidentally leaked two images on their CDN (1, 2) featuring a new logo for MySims.

We've also got the game listed at the bottom of EA's Nintendo Switch games page which links to a My Sims page within the Sims universe. The page is currently unavailable and redirects to the regular Sims 4 page.

--R on ResetEra found two European retailers listing the game, both World of Games and Vitrex which makes the leaks all the more interesting. The game appears to have a November 19, 2024 release date which last time we checked means it's launching this year. With the game being a Nintendo Switch title, its very possible we could see it in an upcoming Nintendo Direct.

We still have no idea if this is a remake, a remaster, or if its a brand new game that's using the original's title as EA has yet to make an official comment. We're expecting an announcement shouldn't be too far off though with them clearly poking around their own website with assets and with retailers starting pre-orders.
