About 3 days ago I realized that I was still on rank 10 and that I hadn't played any ranked this season. As of today I am still on rank 10. I don't think I will make rank 5 by the end of the month.
I may forget about ranking up in hearthstone, I like getting the golden epic, but frankly I hate laddering and the rewards always feel underwhelming anyway.
The article says "Win 5 ranked games, ..."
I thought it was play mode, but not limited to ranked. (5 wins in unranked counts as well). Am I wrong?
The article is right. Most of the rewards Hearthstone gives you can come from ranked or unranked play, but the “ranked chest” you earn at the end of a month comes from ranked play only. It gives you the card back plus rewards based on the highest rank you reached, but only if you’ve won five ranked games.
Your Quest page will show you whether you’ve achieved that yet this month.
Yea nevermind, I just checked and it is ranked only.
No more card backs for me then I guess. My OCD got me to exactly 1000 wins for each class (1500 with mage). I don't plan on winning any more ranked games... ever.

There are a lot of ways to play Hearthstone, and I’m not going to tell anyone that the way they choose for themselves is right or wrong. But if you enjoyed ranked play enough to rack up 9500 wins, are you going to miss it? (Remember that Arena wins are counted in that total, too.)
If you decide you’d rather direct your OCD to something like “collect every monthly cardback”, you’ll need to make that decision today
This decision was taken many months ago, Even before the 1K avatars were announced. I’m perfectly happy with just unranked, adventure and BG. The last 200-300 games ranked/arena were just to be “finished” with it :

Will definitely use this one in my Wild Shaman Quest Murloc Deck. It just fits perfectly.
As for the rest of the decks, will probably still use the random one.
How is your deck performing in wild? At wich rank are you playing? I love murlocs!!!
Not bad actually. It's definitely not a high tier deck, but pretty fun. Currently at rank 3, although I climbed mostly with Warlock Meca'thun and Pirate Warrior.

Quite lively card back, like the one we'll get next season.
I don't think it will ever be my default one (in my opinion, the card back that will overshadow Lightforged has yet to come), but I'm glad to have it in my collection.
Now that we are on the topic, which card back do you guys use? Do you have a favorite or do you just use the "random" one?
Dungeon master card back is best for me. Considering how difficult it was to get it, I think its justified.
Still, would love to use this in shaman and paladin decks so my opponent spends a few more seconds thinking his/her mulligan.
I always use the random one. Brings me back sometime.. :)
