Thursday has arrived, and it brings what is possibly the largest amount of free Epic Games titles, from a technical point of view! This week, we have two collections, one with retro games from classic franchise, and another with puzzle games about snakey birds (no, that's not a typo). Let's get into it!

Castlevania Anniversary Collection

 

See how the legendary Castlevania series started out in this collection of titles from the NES and SNES era, along with a few other platforms. We have 8 games here, including:

  • NES: Castlevania I, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse 
  • SNES: Super Castlevania IV
  • Gameboy: Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge,
  • Genesis: Castlevania Bloodlines
  • Nintendo Family Computer: Kid Dracula

This is a pretty beefy selection of retro games, and lets you experience the series before it became known for its metroidvania titles.

Snakebird Complete

This is a puzzle game where you must help the titular snakebirds reach a goal by having them contort in all sort of weird positions. The Complete version includes both the 2015 original and the 2019 sequel Snakebird Primer. This also marks the launch of the game on the Epic Store in particular, and the collection on PC in general.
