Big announcement for those who wanted to get into the VR space! Sony has just announced that it's permanently reducing the price of their PSVR2 headset by about 150 dollars, or your regional equivalent. The new prices will be $399.99 / €449.99 / £399.99 / ¥66,980, down from $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99 / ¥74,980 when the headset launched (don't recall if they ever did a price increase). This is for both the base model and the bundle with Horizon: Call of the Mountain, so get the later if you can, it's basically a free game. The price drop will happen in March, though the exact date is unknown.
If you're looking for a VR headset, this is a good time to jump in and the PSVR2 is a great unit. The VR library on the PS5 is healthy enough, there's a bunch of free games on Premium if you have it (and hopefully they add more in the future), there's an adapter that makes it compatible with PCs, and they recently added hand-tracking via a software update (though there aren't many titles taking advantage of it, as developers need to implement it into their games). All that said, it's possible the price will go even lower during seasonal sales, if you're not in a rush.
