VR Games Showcase just concluded their March livestream, and it showed quite a number of exciting games coming to various platforms in the future. In addition to the trailers and short blurbs about the games, we also have QR codes at the end of each section for you to wishlist the games and/or join the Discord for each title. You can also watch the whole stream on the VR Games Showcase YouTube channel, and they will return in August. Without further ado, let's get into the games!
Forefront | Meta, Pico, SteamVR
From the creators of Breachers and Hyper Dash comes a competitive military shooter. Forefront lets you both and blow up tanks, helicopter, and other military vehicles, all while trying to take out the enemy team.
Hitman: World of Assassination | PSVR2
Become Agent 47 like never before. This VR add-on to the World of Assassination collection of games lets you perform stealth kills like never before. There's already a VR version of the game for Meta and SteamVR, but this one is shaping up to be far more ambitious.
Reave | Unannounced
Reave is a PvEvP dungeon crawler with social elements. Get your friends, go down into dark dungeons, loot them for all they've got, get out, then start the process all over. Aside from all the zombies and creepy crawlies you expect to find in the catacombs, you're also at risk of coming across another group of players that want to get all the goodies for themselves. The game is currently is pre-alpha, so it has a long way to go before it's ready to see a full release.
Ghost Town | SteamVR, Meta Quest, PSVR2
From the creators of the The Room series comes a supernatural puzzle game filled with all sorts of spectres. Discover the secrets hidden in a small town that's hunted by ghosts while solving puzzles enhanced by the VR aspect.
Memoreum | Meta Quest
From Patient 8 Games, the devs behind the Half Life: Alyx mod Return to Rapture, comes a sci-fi survival horror. Fight against a horde of infected zombies, as well as an antagonistic group that doesn't seem to care if you're infected or not.
Prison Boss Prohibition | PSVR2, Meta Quest, SteamVR
Play as a shopkeeper selling contraband to criminals. But be careful, the police will crack down on illegal activities and you might get into trouble. The games will also offer mixed reality support to headsets that allow it.
Breachers Clone Projector Update | Meta Quest, PSVR2, PC VR
Breachers is a competitive military shooter that's already out on most platforms. This update adds a new item to the game, the Clone Projector, which projects a hologram of your player to confuse your enemies and waste ammo.
ZIX | SteamVR, Meta Quest 3
ZIX is a co-op roguelike where you and up to 3 other players can shape reality. Explore a surreal world filled with strange and alien creatures.
UNDERDOGS | PSVR2, SteamVR (already out), Meta Quest (already out)
UNDERDOGS is a mech combat game where you control a giant metal monster as you fight against equally large steel titan. Game is already out for SteamVR and Meta Quest, and is coming to PSVR2 on March 25th.
Vendetta Forever | PC VR, PSVR2 (already out), Meta Quest (already out)
Vendetta Forever is a stylish shooter that puts you in the shoes of an action hero. Kill your enemies in slow motion and feel like a master sharpshooter. The game will be coming to PC VR on May 8, alongside a number of free new levels for all platforms.
Slender: The Arrival VR | SteamVR, PSVR2, Meta Quest
Slenderman is back! Reexperience the original Slender: The Arrival in VR, adding a whole new dimension to the horror of the game.
Gorn 2 | SteamVR, PSVR2, Meta Quest
From Devolver Digital comes Gorn 2, a combat game all about gladiatorial combat. Stab, slice and dismember your enemies as you try to survive for as long as possible.
Exoshock | Meta Quest, SteamVR
Exoshock is a co-op shooter where you fight hordes of enemies with your friends. Get a variety of weapons as you try to survive the machine onslaught.
Stay: Forever Home | Meta Quest
Digital pets have never looked this immersive. Take care of Ember, a cute little furball, as you explore the world with them.
Penguin Festival | SteamVR, Meta Quest
Now this is a cool game. Take the role of a penguin as you help put together the titular festival, then enjoy your hard work with a variety of activities.
Titan Isles | Meta Quest, SteamVR
From the creators of the Wildlands series comes Titan Isles, a new co-op VR adventure where you explore fantastic islands filled with gigantic creatures.
Deep Cuts | Meta Quest
Deep Cuts is a physics-based action game set in a movie set. Fight malfunctioning automatons that were supposed to help with filming, while trying to figure out what happened to you friend, Malcom. The game is available right now on the Meta Quest 3.
Flat2VR Games
Flat2VR Studios is a developer focused on porting a variety of flat games into VR. They've had several announcements at the presentation, so we'll cover them in a separate section.
Shadowgate VR: The Mines of Mythrok | PSVR2
Initially released in 2021, Shadowgate VR is the VR entry of the Shadowgate adventure series that started all the way back in 1987. The game is already available on SteamVR and Meta Quest, and Flat2VR is bringing the adventure to PSVR2 soon.
Roboquest VR | SteamVR, Meta Quest, PSVR2
Announced during the August 2024 presentation, this trailer shows us a deeper look at the VR gameplay for Roboquest. No release date yet, but they have announced they're working on a co-op mode. We could tell you more about the game, but we have a dedicated review for that.
Out of Sight VR | PSVR2, Meta Quest
A VR version of an upcoming horror/puzzle game. You play as Sophie, a blind girl that can see through the eyes of her teddy bear, as you try to escape your captors and uncover the evil history of a dark mansion. It's unclear if the VR version will be baked into the regular release of the game or if it'll be a separate release, but we're leaning towards the latter.
Surviving Mars: Pioneer | Steam VR, Meta Quest, PSVR2
Surviving Mars is a colony builder game about, well, surviving on the surface of Mars. Pioneer takes that premise and transplants it into VR, allowing you to move around the surface of the red planet.
Postal 2 VR | SteamVR, Meta Quest, PSVR2
A crass first person shooter from the early 2000s, Postal 2 has a cult following that thrives to this day. Get in the shoes of The POSTAL Dude, and everyman just trying to live his life. Of course, things go wrong, and you must shoot your way through hordes of enemies while swearing at them.
